Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and Etihad Airways’ loyalty programme, Etihad Guest, has announced the launch of the new ADCB Islamic Etihad Guest Visa Covered Card.

Simplicity has been the goal behind the creation of the new card, which will make sure that the most rewarding experience possible with the Etihad Guest Credit Card will be given to card holders.

The relaunch of the Etihad Guest Visa Credit Card has also been announced.

Both of the new credit cards will be available to customers within three different variants: Infinite, Platinum and Signature.

Holders of the ADCB Etihad Guest Visa Credit Card will be able to earn Etihad Guest Miles with every US$1 they spend with the card.

These Guest Miles can then be redeemed for Etihad Airways upgrades, holiday packages, flights and hotel bookings.

A range featuring more than 3,000 major brands in gifts, fashion and electronics is showcased by the Etihad’s Reward Shop, which can all be bought with Guest Miles.

ADCB’s Islamic Banking head Kaizar Patla says that the new credit card launches are a testament to the bank’s commitment to giving the most rewarding travel products in the United Arab Emirates market to its customers.

Patla says that travel is not only about getting to a destination but also about momentous experiences and creating memories that will last a lifetime, such as going on adventures to exotic locales or reuniting with long lost friends or family members.

The new offerings will make such moments even easier to create for card holders, according to Patla.

ADCB was the very first bank in the country to allow its co-branded credit card holders to earn Tier Miles.

In addition to complimentary upgrade vouchers, ADCB Etihad Guest Visa Credit Card and ADCB Etihad Guest Islamic Visa Covered Card holders are also able to earn as many as three Etihad Guest Miles on every $1 spent.

Customers can gain up to as many as 60,000 welcome bonus miles upon enrolling, with a further 50,000 Etihad Guest Miles available depending on their spending.

Holders of the ADCB Etihad Guest Visa Credit Card will still be able to make use of Tier Miles when they use their card.

This also includes complimentary airport transfers, free travel insurance, Yas Island theme park discounts, hotels, restaurants, unlimited access to airport lounges, complimentary golf access and more.

Etihad Guest is proud to be able to continue its long partnership with the bank, which has been running for nine years since 2010, according to Etihad Airways’ vice president of commercial partnerships Yasser Al Yousuf.

The collaboration has resulted in many changes to how guests fly, spend and bank with the credit cards and reflects the two firms’ joint belief that Etihad Guest Miles should be able to be used to suit the lifestyle of individual customers.

Visa continuously strives to bring to market these rewarding products for the benefit of card holders, according to Visa’s UAE general manager Shahebaz Khan.
